Xiaomi Mi6 Release Date Price Specifications
Xiaomi took a long time to bring a successor to the acclaimed Mi 4. But it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has taken a step and may fulfill the annual renewal of its flagship as it does most of the competition. Xiaomi CEO has officially declared that its launch will be in April. In addition, have just filtered more specifications and prices of different models.
Xiaomi Mi 6: Design
Gizmochina has been filtering a few renders that look a bit like the sketch appeared on the Weibo social network. The main difference of this-this fritación with the previous ones is that here a frame is maintained similar to the one that already had the Mi5. We see again a dual camera on the back and a fingerprint sensor below the screen that surely has two capacitive buttons on the sides.
In the next render, you can also see the presence of a mini-jack connector for headphones and infrared sensor housed in the upper part of the frame. The camera does not seem to be protruding from the back, which reminiscent of the Galaxy S7. The design, in general, is quite elegant.
Weibo published sketches of the presumed Xiaomi Mi 6 that reflect quite well the first filtered images of the device. But in this sketch, you notice a big difference, here the camera is double, as for example in the Huawei P10, unlike the filtered images of the real device.
In addition to the dual camera, we can see what looks like a USB type C, a fingerprint sensor on the front and a design with curves that reminds the P10. On the other hand, you can not see a mini-jack connector anywhere.
From the MyDrivers China website, what were supposedly the first images of the Xiaomi Mi 6 were filtered. As we can see in these two photographs, the resemblance to the iPhone 7 surprises as much as the HTC A9 did.
This assumption Mi 6 has a front with 2.5D glass and a start button that we suppose will also hide a fingerprint sensor. Luckily it looks like the top frame is not as generous as the iPhone 7 or the Pixel.
In the back, the resemblance is closer to the iPhone 5 or SE, although in this case, the contact with the edge has no edges as it is fully curved. In the lower and upper area, we have some areas that look like glass and the rest of the back side is supposed to be aluminum, unlike in the Mi 5 that is also made of glass. The chamber is located cornered at the top behind one of these glass zones.
Xiaomi Mi 6: Specifications and Features
The successor of Mi 5 will have two variants. The first will be a Mi 6 assumption with flat screen and a RAM of 4 GB. The other option would be the Mi 6 Plus with a curved screen and with 6 GB of RAM. A style very similar to the S7 and S7 Edge.
In AnTuTu just listed a “Xiaomi said” that should be one of the models of the new Mi6. Apparently, it is the most modest version with flat screen and Full HD resolution. Another clue that this is the economic version is the 4 GB of RAM it mounts. On the other hand, a Snapdragon 835 processor is confirmed.
According to the user Reviewer_Well of the social network Weibo, there are two variants, but both would have 4GB RAM, the difference would be in the internal memory (a version of 32 GB and another of 64 GB) and in the resolution of the screen (1080p vs WQHD ).
On the other hand, it has also provided some information about the front camera. We would have an IMX268 8MP sensor with autofocus, the same one that has the Mi Note 2, although unfortunately, the rear camera will not be the one of this terminal. It is believed that the Mi 6 will be equipped with a Sony IMX386 12MP sensor.
As for the processor, previous rumors suggest that it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. But other leaks were discussed that there will be another model with a Mediatek Helio X30 processor.
For the battery is talking about a good climb up to 4000 mAh, which may be somewhat exaggerated but we do not rule out that Xiaomi wants to improve the performance of autonomy compared to the previous flagship. For the load, you could count on QuickCharge 4.0, at least the model with the Snapdragon.
In Oppomart is listed a version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory in addition to a 5.15 inch OLED Full-HD screen, Snapdragon 835 processor and a 19 MP camera with Sony IMX400 sensor. That may be good specs but the price of $ 299 does not seem entirely credible.
