28 injured after vehicle plows into New Orleans parade crowd, driver appeared intoxicated

No less than 28 individuals were harmed after a vehicle was crashed into a horde of revelers at the Krewe of Endymion parade in New Orleans.

Police Chief Michael Harrison says one individual in authority and that he is being examined for driving while inebriated.

Harrison said that 21 individuals were hospitalized after the crash with five casualties in protected condition. Seven others declined to be hospitalized.
